The model Z260560 is example of product variations within the same application. The goal is to make installation and removal as simple as possible given the location of the sensor. This model is two channel device that produce quadrature output. That is, the outputs are phase related such that direction of rotation can be determined. The two channels are truly redundant meaning that there are two separate sensors within the single housing. The sensors are used under powered railcars and locomotives where ease of maintenance is critical. These units must be capable of surviving high shock and vibration as well as harsh under car elements while providing thousands of hours of reliable service.
