Passive Speed Sensor
The model A260#768 is designed for the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV). The EELV program is a project designed to reduce the cost of space access for military payloads. The sensor monitors a shaft speed of several thousand RPM's. The sensor must survive the extreme heat, shock and vibration generated during a launch.
