Passive Speed Sensor
This model is used in the transmissions of rail transit vehicles. The stainless steel mounting flange bolts to the transmission case and remains there for the life of the transmission. If the sensor should ever need replacing, it is simply unscrewed from the mounting flange and a new one screwed in. The sensor air gap is preset by design. This feature can save the user expensive down time. This sensor is field serviceable, thus eliminating the expense of moving the railcar to a maintenance facility. Designed to survive in your operating environment. Available in a variety of configurations. Standard and high temperatures available. The model 260745 has an additional feature. The right angle cable exit can be oriented anywhere (360°) around the centerline of the sensor body after it is torqued into place. This feature eliminates large service loops in cabling under car which greatly reduces the incidence of cables being fatigued, snagged or cut by ballast and debris.
